A Practical Starting Point for Mobile Robotics
The 2WD Smart Robot Car Chassis Kit provides the mechanical foundation for building a compact, programmable robot car. Its two-wheel-drive arrangement uses two geared DC motors to drive the main wheels, while a supporting wheel provides stability at the front or rear of the chassis depending on assembly.
The kit includes two 200 RPM BO geared motors and 65 mm wheels, making it suitable for hands-on projects involving motor control, differential steering, sensors and embedded programming.
The acrylic chassis provides a platform for mounting a development board, motor driver, battery holder and additional electronics. This makes it suitable for experimenting with different robot configurations without having to design the mechanical platform from scratch.
The 2WD configuration is particularly useful for learning the fundamentals of differential-drive robotics. By independently controlling the left and right motors, a controller can be programmed to move the robot forward, reverse, turn and follow programmed movement patterns.
Use it as a foundation for projects such as line-following robots, obstacle-avoidance robots, Bluetooth-controlled cars, Wi-Fi robots and sensor-based mobile platforms.
