Unlike standard DC motors that spin continuously, a stepper motor moves in distinct, programmable “steps.” Thanks to its internal reduction gearbox, this 5V motor requires roughly 2,048 steps to complete a single full revolution, giving you incredible, granular control over its exact physical position.
