TCS3200 Color Sensor Module

Teach your robots to see the world in full RGB. The TCS3200 Color Sensor Module (often called the “Rainbow Sensor”) is an advanced optical board that detects the exact color of any object placed in front of it. By utilizing an array of micro-photodiodes fitted with distinct red, green, blue, and clear filters, this module translates light intensity into a highly accurate square wave frequency that your Arduino or ESP32 can easily decode into usable data.

As an IIT Bhubaneswar-incubated tech ecosystem, XROBOTICS WORKS integrates the TCS3200 deeply into our manufacturing automation curriculum. It is the core hardware behind student-favorite projects like Automated Skittles/Candy Sorters, industrial quality-control conveyor belts, and advanced color-following rovers deployed in PM Shri Labs. Featuring four bright white surface-mount LEDs to illuminate the target object, this module ensures perfectly accurate readings regardless of ambient room lighting.
