The 5V Micro Submersible Water Pump is a compact DC water pump designed for small-scale liquid circulation and fluid-control projects. Its submersible design allows the pump to be placed inside a suitable water reservoir and used to move water through a connected tube.
It is particularly useful for Arduino, IoT, robotics, electronics, and STEM education projects where a microcontroller needs to control a physical water-flow system.
A microcontroller GPIO pin should not be used to power the pump directly, because the pump motor requires more current than a typical GPIO pin can safely provide. Instead, use an appropriate relay module, MOSFET driver, or motor driver circuit, along with a suitable external power supply.
The pump can be used in projects such as automatic plant watering systems, soil-moisture-based irrigation, tabletop water circulation, miniature fountains, hydroponics experiments, liquid-transfer demonstrations, and robotics prototypes.
Important: Performance such as flow rate, maximum head height, outlet dimensions, current consumption, and operating voltage can vary between generic pump versions. Check the specifications of the actual supplied unit before designing a system around exact performance values.
